I tried growing a plant upside down by having a fertilising reservoir which it's fertilising liquid was pumped slowly into a tank where it mixed with fresh water. Mixed together it was pumped slowly on to the plant from above. The plant was given heat and light from underneath. After some time the plant died underneath and started growing upwards through the soil, turning itslef 180 degrees upwards.
